13 Down only Algalon Remains
21st
April
After a Disappointing Friday
night on Mimiron we came back in on Saturday and knocked him off, headed
down to Vezax, had about two attempts and the server died.

We called the raid about 20
minutes into the downtime and Came back in on Sunday, re-cleared all the
trash AGAIN, then found they had changed the fight over night so we had
to change our strat. However even with the change Vezax was still a
pushover and really is nothing more then sorting out what your healers
are doing when.

With Vezax out of the way this
left us with Yogg and Ignis to deal with. We called the raid after a few
attempts on Yogg, hit up the forums and within 12 hours we had a four
page thread on how to deal with his many tentacles and mouths.
Monday we perfected him over the
course of the night and were rewarded with a kill and some more phat
lewts.
We also came back in just before
shutdown Tuesday and two shot Ignis, but that's barely worth mentioning.

I think I perhaps share the same
thoughts as others in regards to the initial difficulty of Ulduar,
having raided every instance since the game has come out I have always
been a fan of bosses being over tuned to the point where very few guilds
can kill them. Then down the line after the good guilds have killed them
and they have all got nicely in front in terms of content and boss
clearance they nerf it down so some of the more casual guilds can get a
taste of it.
However Blizz's new "lets give
the casuals loot too" policy doesn't seem to allow for that and the only
way we can be out in front of everyone else is do things the hard way
and get 10 points for doing it....not really satisfying in my books, the
first kill is always the best and always will be.
Now that I've had my little rant,
Hopefully Algalon will give me and many others the challenge we so
desperately want, the same challenges that kept us playing all these
years.

Till next time <3
